Modeling Workflow: a. Start with a basic shape (cube, sphere, etc.) in Object Mode b. Enter Edit Mode (Tab) to modify the shape c. Use extrude (E), loop cuts (Ctrl + R), and other tools to add detail d. Use modifiers like Subdivision Surface for smoother results
-
Advice for 3D Modeling:
- Begin with simple shapes and gradually add complexity
- Use reference images for accuracy (Shift + A > Image > Reference)
- Utilize the Mirror modifier for symmetrical models
- Keep your topology (the flow of edges and faces) clean and quad-based
- Use Subdivision Surface modifier for smoother models, but be mindful of edge loops for proper shaping
-
Useful Tools:
- Boolean operations for combining or cutting shapes
- Knife tool (K) for custom edge creation
- Proportional editing (O) for smooth, organic deformations
-
Organizing Your Scene:
- Use collections to group related objects
- Name your objects descriptively
